The Environment and Natural Resources
The Environment and Natural Resources
State leaders worldwide have acknowledged and accepted that we are likely to face a global energy shortage and bad environment situation over the next few decades. The price of crude oil is at an all-time high and demand for petroleum continues to soar, especially in emerging economies like India and China. Many people have died for lack of natural resources including water, food, oil and so on. The main aim of this essay is the effects and solutions of the damaging environment and lacking of natural resources which would take haze and carbon emission for examples.
Recently, the speed of haze creation sets the record for the fastest. In 2013, "Haze" has become an instant hit and the annual keyword a whole year. In January this year, only 5 days do not have haze in Beijing. According to a report in China's 500 largest cities, only less than 1% of the city recommends air quality standards supervised by World Health Organization. At the same time, seven out of ten of the world's most polluted cities are in China. As the weather quality is such poor, it changes the normal people’s daily life seriously. Haze is highly sensitive to variations in weather and climate. Climate change is projected to affect people health and life. This can lead to an increased likelihood of respiratory diseases. The environmental impact of energy harvesting and consumption is diverse. In recent decades, there has been a trend towards the increased commercialization of various renewable energy sources.
It is researched that carbon dioxide released by humans every second has more than 700 tons, a year is 23 billion tons. In a similar way, every minute, the world’s tropical forests cleared an area equivalent to the size of 200 football fields. According to the current rate of this destruction, the Amazon rainforest will completely disappear within 400 years. All of us are in the full conviction that the governments can implement a huge chunk of practices to ease energy shortages at full tilt. In the real world of consumption of carbon resources which result in global warming and climate change. However, little change is being made in many parts of the world. People all said that things are the reason for its being. The situation of the environment and the natural resource has a direct effect on the health humans. Humans rely heavily on natural resources for food, employment, recreation, weather patterns and transportation. In all, the natural resources are very important for our survival as a species. The earth provides human beings with everything. However, we offer nothing to the earth. Even worse, we’re damaging it seriously.
The below table shows the change of the annual rate of carbon emission in ten countries and kindly check the details for reference. It can be easily seen that protecting environment and conserving natural resources are a matter of great urgency regardless of the countries. Of them, China and India are bound to pay more attention to the work of protecting the environment.

At present, a great many people commence damaging the environment by hook or by crook in order to meet their needs. The governments are supposed to clamp down on such criminal activity be legislation. The most basic way in which a government can address the energy shortage is to educate the public better, especially the younger generation, about the significance of conserving energy and protecting the environment. The governments can also ensure that the media plays an active role in encouraging the use of energy-efficient practices. The driving restrictions has implemented during the Beijing 2008 Olympics, for example, were effective in both reducing emissions and improving air quality. It would be impossible to solve the energy problem overnight and, unfortunately, it is likely to worsen before it begins to improve. Overcoming the energy shortage will be a difficult task, and one that will require not only the efforts of each government, but also cooperation between governments and the participation of every sector of society. Those countries that aware of the grave seriousness of the energy crisis and work to alleviate it will reap the benefits for their environment and people. Blue sky and white clouds are our yearnings. It seems not in the alarmist that the whole world has left memories 100 years later. Life will be non-existent if we don’t take care of the earth carefully. For what we are called to do again today is about conserving natural resources and protecting the environment. Cherish it before you lost it.
