The Efforts for Equality of Women Shall Be Continue to Made
In the Ted Talk "Body Language and Gender from a Dancer's Perspective" Natalia Khosla maintains that a particular stereotype regarding their behaviors and actions for men and women respectively exists in our society, but it is not because of a biological reason but a psychological and social tradition. Therefore, it is important and possible to prevent people from fitting into their own stereotype related with gender, furthermore, fight against gender bias by starting early education for kids from three years old.
In the Guardian article "Gender Diversity in Leadership is Key to Business Success," Steve Almond maintains that even though the figures have proven that the business is more likely to succeed with women among the leadership in one company, women still haven’t played significant roles, and had much influence in business. Therefore, he would like to point out the principle that “equality means good business.”
Women have gone so far on the way of fighting for equal opportunities and treatment whether they are single, married or pregnant. However, this fight still hasn’t crossed the boundaries when it comes to the leading and decision-making roles in companies and government. Therefore, it is worthy of people’s attention and efforts because there is still much work to accomplish on equality between men and women. The similarity of opinions between the speaker and writer is that they both see the gender bias and want to change the situation for better results. While the difference is that they represent different people women and business men. Therefore they analyzed this problem differently, and suggested two corresponding solutions one relates to life and the other with business. Nevertheless, both of their suggestions are reasonable but do not limit the existing of other better solutions.
