The obstacle between the North Korea refugee and the local south Korean

The major obstacle for a North Korean person to live in the South is the racial discrimination and living habit.

  For one thing, People in the south tend to look down on the people from the North. It’s not unusual for local residence from the south to develop a superior sense of the people from the north since they do have a huge income difference. It’s a common fact for almost every region with income difference, even in New York or Los Angeles, the people from the rich neighborhood would tend to tell their kid to stay away from the kids from the poor neighborhood. This part is purely on the South Korean people. They need to understand that they are different by all means are from the perspective of being born in a different location. What that means is that, if there are born just a little bit to the North, their life would be very different and judging by a nationalism stand point of view, they were the same group of people. The degree of sympathy should let them work together to figure out a way to make sure those people out of the North Korean are able to live together with them.

  Another obstacle is the lacking of social ladder for the people from The North to survive, like any discrimination problem. The black community in American and even the Muslims in Europe, this community should educate their younger generation to work hard and fit into the mainstream ideology of the local people. Immigration is not about changing the mainstream ideology to their home country but rather to work with the local people to form something greater than what they are capable of building on their own. We see many North Korean people kinds of give up their hope to become part of the society. They tend to create their own community and hope to live under that dome by themselves, and that is wrong. They need to open up to the society and embrace the culture in the South to together form a working force to contribute to the peace on the peace on both the North and South.

  Overall, the north Korea and south Korea are not that different in many ways, and they should work together to make peace between these two countries that used to be one.
