Multiple Intelligences
Multiple Intelligences
Multiple Intelligences theory was proposed by the Harvard Graduate School of Education psychological development experts Gardner in 1983. Gardner from the study found that the brain of patients affected by trauma to their differences in learning an ability, which made this theory. Although Gardner smart endowment divided up so fine, but he stressed that his approach should not be used to define it as a particular type of intelligence, everyone has a unique combination of data system. In this sense, the theory of multiple bits of intelligence theory is actually a sophisticated information.
Traditionally, the school has only emphasized the development of students in mathematics and logic languages in two ways. Traditional IQ intelligence test also covers only logical-mathematical, language, and spatial information. But this is not all human knowledge. Different people have different intelligent combination, for example: a sense of space architect and sculptor relatively healthy, muscular athletes and ballet body member riding ability, public relations strong interpersonal intelligence of intrapersonal activity.
Personally speaking, I believe the result matches all my personality very much. The result showed that my highest skill was word smart which matches what most my friends would say about me, being funny. On the other hand, I do suck on math which also matches my other character was logical dysfunctional. Overall, it seems to be a very accurate result. I did question some of the algorithms behind the differentiating method. I was asked about my favorite type of animal, which in my opinion doesn’t affect what kind of people I could be. Some of the preference are pretty random and the only choices behind them related to intelligence might only be a correlation rather a direct result of my intelligence level thus should be applied carefully.
The topic kind of remind me of the big data we talk about right now. It’s higher degree of relationship and stats method to determine and predict one’s behavior. I happen to have a chance to read the topic, and I found most links behind the entity relationship was pure correlation statically speaking. Human are complicated, and people change. We should be very sensitive and careful to jump to any conclusion of human intelligence to preventing killing our talent and possibility in this case.
